Happy Birthday Walker!

Walker turned 14 on Saturday! We are grateful that he was sent to our family. He has brought a lot of excitement and love to us along with much needed testosterone. I don't think Shelby would be able to survive if we didn't have the presence of another male counterpart in the house. Walker has a very tender heart and loving nature and has always made good decisions. He is fun to be around and is a leader to his friends. He has maintained wonderful grades along with all the athletic events he is involved in. Our family wouldn't be the same without him! I love him dearly. Happy Birthday Big Boy!!

Great cousins!

We were so excited to have Savannah and Emma come up and ski with us. They were so patient and even helped Shelby learn to snowboard ( I'm not allowed to say anything about Shelby's injury so you'll have to ask him) They are quite the boarders and great cousins! We love you Savannah and Emma!

Once a cowboy, always a cowboy!

Shelby is very happy with his new job. He was kinda turning a little 'cityish' in Bartlesville. He had to take some pictures for a magazine article of him at the feedlot. This is the man I married. He is and always will be a true blue cowboy. Even though I call them his 'work' clothes, he looks darn good in them. I love my cowboy!!

Off with her hair!

Ok, so for months now Megan has been dying to cut her long, beautiful hair off. I have tried and tried to talk her out of it, but since she's been working at a salon as a shampoo tech, and cutting Claire's hair and anyone else's that will let her (including toddlers), she just decided to do it. Well 12 inches later her hair is as vogue and stylish as the magazines. This is what it looks like this week. She tells me she's going to put some different color highlights in it to. I said well why not go for the red? We'll see what next week brings....

Risking her life

If you knew how much my husband disliked cats you would realize that our cat risked its life sneaking inside and creeping into bed with him. When I walked and saw her there I ran and got the camera because I knew this was too good to pass up. Then I gently picked her up and put her back outside. Gotta love 'em!

Grandma's Birthday

We had so much fun with my parents here. We did some sight-seeing, kid wrangling, tile demolition, walking the dog, car repair, laundry, and lots of eating. They saw warm weather and icy cold weather. They were great sports! Tuesday was my Mom's 75 birthday. We all went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse and then came home and sang and opened presents. I think she was honored. We certainly were. Its so easy to love someone that did so much for you when you were growing up. She still keeps my kids rolling on the floor laughing with her quick witt and sense of humor. I couldn't have hand picked a better mom for me. I love you with all my heart, Mom. Thanks for coming! Now Dad we're gonna expect you on your birthday too so we can give you the royal treatment.

Claires "day off"

You know when Grandma and Grandpa come you have to have a day off. At least that's what Claire said. Well since it is a Friday, and she has excellent grades, I agreed. Claire took the day off from school to spend time with two of her favorite people.
