Snow Storm

OK so you guys that live in Utah...I'm so jealous of the snow you received. My parents took a pic of the snow at their house. I can't wait to be there next month. It will be the first ski trip for our kids. We're VERY excited!!

Meredith loves soccer!

Who would have known that Meredith would take up soccer again. She was a great player when she was younger and even suffered a broken arm from a body slam she received from a boy on the opposing team. Yes, she played co-ed. Well, needless to say double foot surgery took care of that sport for a few years. But, now she is back at it and on the high school team. She's a trooper! GO MEREDITH...

A 3rd grade Valentines Party!

I guess I forget each year how fun the class parties are in elementary. I have attended and helped (most years been in charge of) every Valentines Day party my kids have ever had. It is my favorite party to do. This year in Claires class her homeroom mom is an extremely organized and detailed person. Sometimes a little overboard, but I help her with all the class parties and field trips. This year she chose a theme for their class and it was Knights in Shining Armor and Queen of Hearts. They had to decorate their valentine boxes with that theme in mind. Claire chose to do a princess hat. I thought it was quite clever! Then I saw everyone else's. It was amazing. Although I think that a lot of parent help was evident. The kids played games and decorated their crowns and tiaras and had LOTS of yummy treats. Now I have never really realized that Claire is a little petite for her age. I don't know if she is just small or they are ginormously big. Anyways, I'm not to worried because shortness is not one of our family traits. I hope you all enjoyed some fun at school with your kiddos this valentines day!

A great recipe!

Two summers ago, Shelby and I were invited to dinner at a co-workers house in Salt Lake. She served this dish and I was sooo impressed with it. (Especially for chicken) I've made it a few times over the years and served it to my parents while they were here. They loved it as well so I decided to post it to see what you all think about it. The kids love it! The page looks terrible because of wear and tear so if you can't understand something let me know! You serve the salsa on top of the chicken. Sometimes I just make the salsa and eat it. It is very yummy.
